This Sunday: That Slapstick Show Presents The Animated Marx Brothers

If you missed Nelson Hughes’ presentation at Marxfest, here’s your chance to catch it, with enhancements.

This Sunday at 4:30pm at QED in Queens, That Slapstick Show dives into the world of the animated cartoon short with a screening featuring New York City’s favorite sons, Groucho, Chico, Harpo, and Zeppo, otherwise known as the Marx Brothers, presented this time in animated form.

From their height of screen popularity, the major cartoon studios took notice of the popular comedy team and featured them in many cartoons from the 1930s pre-code era, continuing throughout the 1960s with much fanfare.

This screening will sample selected popular and rare shorts from the various cartoon studios featuring the beloved comedy team presented uncut and uncensored. See the Boys like you never seen them before up on QED’s beautiful silver screen. Also featured will be That Slapstick Show’s very own, ragtime musical artist, Charlie Judkins and a special halftime performance by Miss Maybell.

PROGRAMMING NOTE:
The cartoons presented in this screening is intended for mature Adult audiences and may not be suitable for Children.
