A Shout Out on “Tablecakes”

Thanks Drew Mackie for mentioning my blogpost about The Addams Family vs The Munsters on this recent edition of “The Gayest Episode Ever” on Tablecakes. The episode in question relates to the new Netflix show Wednesday, an Addams Family spin-off, with many episodes directed by Tim Burton. Ted Biaselli, director of original series at Netflix, is the guest. You can hear it here. That same blogpost got me on the BBC just before the pandemic, so it’s one of the ones I’m proudest of. Writer and performer Trav S.D. (www.travsd.com) is best known for his books "No Applause, Just Throw Money: The Book That Made Vaudeville Famous" (2005) and "Chain of Fools: Silent Comedy and Its Legacies from Nickelodeons to Youtube" (2013). In 2014 he produced and directed the smash-hit "I’ll Say She Is", the first ever revival of the Marx Brothers hit 1924 Broadway show in the NY International Fringe Festival.
