Ten Days From Today! The Niles Essanay Silent Film Museum brings its annual Broncho Billy and Friends Silent Film Festival back to real world 3 dimensional space at its brick and mortar home in in Niles, California. Highlights include films of Broncho Billy and Alkali Ike and other silent westerns, a tribute to the late Baby Peggy, a screening of Buster Keaton’s Seven Chances, a presentation by film historian Sam Gill about the early silent cinema scene in Jacksonville, Florida, and a walking tour of Niles itself (which is well worth the trip for silent movie lovers — I’ve taken it!) You’ve still got time to book your travel and accommodations. Niles is just a short way from San Francisco. Make the pilgrimage! All the deets are here.
