Coming in July: A Great New Podcast About Burns and Allen

Big news for fans of Burns and Allen! Writer, producer, actress, and (not incidentally) Gracie Allen impersonator Lauren Milberger has adapted her biographical play The Raconteurs: A Story of George Burns and Gracie Allen into a four episode podcast that will become available this July. The ideal medium for telling a story about two of the top old time radio comedy stars. Joining Milberger once again will be Kevin Sebastian as George Burns. Jeffrey C. Wolfe is cast as Jack Benny. And in a truly exciting development, Stephen Tobolowsky (I was going to list his well-known credits but there are too many of them) will be hosting the program. Writer and performer Trav S.D. (www.travsd.com) is best known for his books "No Applause, Just Throw Money: The Book That Made Vaudeville Famous" (2005) and "Chain of Fools: Silent Comedy and Its Legacies from Nickelodeons to Youtube" (2013). He has directed his own plays, revues and solo pieces at such venues as Joe’s Pub, La Mama, HERE, Dixon Place, Theater for the New City, the Ohio Theatre, the Brick, and 6 separate shows in the NY International Fringe Festival. In 2014 he produced and directed the smash-hit "I’ll Say She Is", the first ever revival of the Marx Brothers hit 1924 Broadway show in the NY International Fringe Festival.
