Announcing Travalanche Patreon Swag!

An overdue announcement to current and future Travalanche Patreon Patrons! I have now set up giving levels, with gifties at each tier, by way of thanks for your support and involvement. I’m sorry, I’m not going to give them cute names: all the cute names have been taken. In vaudeville, the tiers went by ticket price, which is where the phrase “10-20-30” came from (vaudeville seats were 10, 20 or 30 cents, until the advent of the Palace which pioneered charging ten times that amount). So in the tradition of vaudeville, we stick with amounts for levels. Here’s what you’ll get for joining:

$1 a month: exclusive curated content on my Patreon blog, normally a daily film clip, with my comments. (Sorry, you can’t actually see it until you join).

$2 a month: The above, plus access to my bi-weekly talks on historical pop culture topics. FYI, I’m going to archive all the ones I’ve done and will do, so you can access them any time you like. This Saturday, the new talk will be on the silent comedy shorts of Buster Keaton

$5 a month: The above, plus Trav S.D. Facemask (pictured above)

$10 a month:  Exclusive content, talks, and a copy of any of the three Archeophone CDs for which I have written liner notes: Weber and Fields: Van and Schenck; or Nat M. Wills

$15 a month or higher:  Exclusive content, talks, and a copy of my book Chain of Fools: Silent Comedy and Its Legacies from Nickelodeons to Youtube

All these wonders can be yours, for a mere monthly trifle; find our here how to join.
