Little Person Jean Bregant (1869-1944) was originally from Cilli, Austria. In Europe he performed under the name Prince Colibri. While touring the American circuits he met his wife, Inez Lewis (1887-1965), also a Little Person, and they paired up for a vaudeville act and a marriage circa 1905. Bregant did the comedy chores; Inez could sing and dance. Billed as the “Candy Kids” they toured the country advertising and selling John G. Woodward candy products late in their career. They retired to Inez’s home town of Council Bluffs and had a miniature house built which still stands.
