October is German-American Heritage Month, which is as appropriate time as there can be for a program celebrating the greatest of all vaudeville “Dutch” comedians, Weber and Fields. I was privileged to co-author the liner notes for Archeophone Records’ recent release of century-old Weber and Fields recordings, and am excited to report that myself, along with Archeophone’s Richard Martin and Meagan Hennessey (and clowns R. David Robinson and Joshua Koehn) will be celebrating this seminal team and the new CD at a special event sponsored by the Bowery Alliance of Neighbors and held at Grace Church School on October 11.
