Come See Me in a Musical About Lee Harvey Oswald

In addition to being Thanksgiving, today is the anniversary of the JFK assassination, a fitting time I’ll warrant to remind you that in a week’s time I’ll be appearing in Me and Lee: The Musical by Jason Trachtenburg, of Pendulum Swings and the Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players. Me and Lee is adapted from the autobiography of Judyth Vary Baker, a teen science genius who writes that she was recruited by the CIA to develop a bio-weapon to kill Fidel Castro, that she had an affair with Lee Harvey Oswald, and that he really was (to use his own word) a “patsy” in the plot to kill JFK. Ms. Baker will be at the event for Q & A, and to sign copies of her book.

I play a scary CIA recruiter and handler; the cast also includes Emily Frembgen, Miz Stefani, and Aaron Hornblas. Trachtenburg wrote the music of course, performed by “The Service Secrets”, including Jake Straus and Charles Mansfield.

Performances will be:

Thursday, November 29, 7:30pm, Sidewalk, 94 Avenue A, NYC

Friday, January 11, Dixon Place, 161A Chrystie Street, NYC
