This Wednesday: Celebrate the Comic Genius of W.C. Fields

I’ve been promoting this on social media, but thought I’d spread the word here as well, since some of you Neo-Luddites may not follow me there. This Wednesday, June 27 at 8pm there will be a free talk at the National Arts Club in NYC entitled “A Celebration of Comic Genius W.C. Fields.” At the dais will be Dr. Harriet Fields, W.C.’s only granddaughter (and a good friend to this blog and blogger), as well as the one and only Dick Cavett, and Columbia film professor Rob King. Writer and performer Trav S.D. In 2014 he produced and directed the smash-hit "I’ll Say She Is", the first ever revival of the Marx Brothers hit 1924 Broadway show in the NY International Fringe Festival.
