As much as it pains me personally to have to report this, the New-York Historical Society is launching a TERRIFIC looking exhibition and program series drawn from and inspired by the collections of magician David Copperfield. Summer of Magic: Treasures from the David Copperfield Collection runs June 15 through September 16. In addition to the items on view, there will be many, many programs about Houdini throughout the summer, one about Adelaide Herrmann (August 4), one about Orson Welles (who was an amateur magician, August 9), a performance by our own Adam Real Man (June 23), and a presentation by Copperfield himself this Saturday June 16. And many many more cool programs, too many to list. Get all the deets here.
