The Southern Sideshow Hootenanny returns to New Orleans this week, and I’m honored and thrilled to have been asked to participate in a panel there this Friday, called “Sideshow, Variety, Vaudeville: History and Where We Are Now.” On the dais with me will be Baltimore’s legendary James Taylor, editor and publisher of Shocked and Amazed and co-founder of the American Dime Museum and Washington’s Palace of Wonders; AND Reggie Bugmuncher of Philadelphia’s Old City Sideshow and organizer of the Southern Sideshow Hootenanny.
