This is one of several Christmas episodes of Maude, this one from the show’s second season in 1973. Bea Arthur is always comic poetry in motion. Watching her move from joke to joke as she works the holiday party is pure pleasure. You can tell it’s an early one because Esther Rolle (Florida) hasn’t left yet for her own spin-off show Good Times.
