The Other Hilton Sisters
Today is the birthday of the conjoined Hilton Sisters (not Paris and Nicky, but Daisy and Violet. For their full bio go here.) A few weeks ago, the Countess and I had the opportunity to see their 1951 film Chained for Life. I found it oddly similar to the all-midget western The Terror of Tiny Town, in that it stars “different people” in quite a serious program drama (in this case a sort of courtroom-murder-mystery). Once the novelty wears off you occasionally have to remind yourself what you are actually watching. Judge for yourself. You can watch the film in its entirety on Youtube here:
