Baby Rose Marie

Today is the birthday of Rose Marie — one of the few true vaudevillians who’s actually still alive! For her full bio, go here. I actually got to interview her for No Applause, one of the many pleasures of the research process for that book. She was extremely generous. Here she is in a clip from when she was still “Baby” Rose Marie, from 1932:

    The only other ones I can even think of are Mickey Rooney, Patty Andrews, and Dorothy Toy. Do you happen to know if Jerry Maren, the last surviving featured cast member from The Wizard of Oz, ever did vaudeville?
