Stars of the AVT #144 and #145 Chris Manley and Jeff Seal
This post resumes my series profiling the hundreds of performers I’ve presented through my American Vaudeville Theatre , initiated in conjunction with American Vaudeville Theatre’s 15th Anniversary ExTRAVaganza this past August.
Jeff Seal and Chris Manley are two clown/comedians with entirely separate careers who often perform together. They did some of their material in our 2009 burlesque benefit show at Theater for the New City.
Chris Manley (Buttons) is a member of New Excitement and has appeared on Comedy Central. Jeff Seal is a four-time Golden Clown Nose nominee and has appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman. Both of them co-wrote and acted in Kill Me Loudly: A Clown Noir, as well as their very funny vaudeville-flavored show Neon Lights, which (and this is why we post today) is being revived tonight and tomorrow night at the Clown Theatre Festival at the Brick Theater.
